Culture Re-Cap: Art After Dark

Happy Friday!
I did not forget I promised you all 'Feel Better' Fridays, but I have so many ideas I couldn't decide on how to start off! So instead I'm finally getting to a post from what I did last Friday, which was attending the Art After Dark at the Guggenheim Museum. As far as I'm concerned this still falls under the 'Feel Better' category, since dressing-up and hanging out with friends at a museum on a Friday night is something that made me feel very happy at the end of the work week!

Here's a few pics from the event. Since a stern security guard stopped me from snapping pics beyond the main floor, I couldn't get any close-ups of the art. But you can check out what the John Chamberlain: Choices exhibit is all about here

This is the Guggenheim...

This is Taz and I wearing our "Upper East Side Best"...

And these are our fabulous Friends:

Khary & Jennifer

Laura & Marco

Rey & Michelle

Ruth & Scott

I'm not sure when the next Art After Dark is (it's a seasonal event), but if you live in New York (or are visiting!) I strongly recommend the MOMA for a Friday night museum excursion. Particularly because it is FREE admission (Target sponsored) every Friday from 4 to 8pm. I'll be going one Friday soon to check out the Cindy Sherman retrospective, which I heard received great reviews!

Pretty much the bottom-line advice for feeling good this weekend:

Do something cultural...Do something with friends...and always, always...Smile for the camera
